Obituary of Lillian K Gekoski
GEKOSKI, LILLIAN KIEFFER
Born February 25, 1924 in Elmira, New York. Daughter of Arthur Kieffer and Teckla Bednarek Kieffer, Lillian went Home to our Heavenly Father the morning of September 20, 2013. Waiting for her in Eternity, my dad, her beloved husband Frank along with her protective big brother, Raymond Kieffer and a host of family and friends. My precious mother will be greatly missed by me, Nance; her son in law, Tom and her grandson, Matthew (the apple of her eye). We thank God for the many loving memories we hold dear of our time together as a family. Sharing in our loss of this extraordinary woman of Love and Faith are her cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends. Everyone whose life she touched will remember her as a Lady of immeasurable substance with a giving Heart and a feisty spirit. She will remain in many Hearts forever...Mom and I would like to thank all who enabled her to live independently by showering her with Tender Loving Care. Mary Guerrera, Dena O'Dell, Ann Love, Elaine Harrington, Angie DiLaura, Elaine Morgan, Mary Anne Hall, Judy Gage, Jane Scriven, Jackie Scarpi and all her treasured friends at Villa Serene. Mother and I also wish to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the kind and professional staff at St. Joseph's Hospital 5-C. You all went beyond the call of duty to fill her final days with Love and Comfort. God's Blessings to you all. As requested by Lillian, there will be no calling hours. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 23rd at 1:30 pm at St. Peter and Paul's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Baker Victory Services, Adoption Department, 780 Ridge Road, Lackawanna, NY 14218 or Care First, 11751 E. Corning Road, Corning, NY 14830. Walter J. Kent Funeral Home is assisting the family.
