Obituary of Charles K. Parmenter

Charles Kenneth "Chuck" Parmenter Age 84, Elmira, NY was born Saturday, August 21, 1937 in Chaffee, MO the son of the late Bland and Mary (Smith) Parmenter. Chuck passed away at his home on Monday, May 23, 2022. He was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp and proudly served his country from 1955 to 1962. He was retired as a truck driver with Ryerson Steel after several years of dedicated service. Chuck's wife and love of his life, Charlotte "Shari" "Nana" (Drake) Parmenter preceded him in death on September 18, 2017. He is survived by his loving children, Perry (Susan) Parmenter of Phoenix, AZ; Rob Parmenter of Erin, NY; Mary (Scott) Karius of Hector, NY; beloved grandchildren, Adrianne Parmenter and Joey Parmenter; brother, Thomas Parmenter of Padre Island, TX. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of his life at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at the Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake Street Elmira, NY. Committal prayers and interment will follow at Woodlawn National Cemetery where the Marine Corp League will accord Mr. Parmenter with Military Honors.
