Obituary of Elizabeth J. Tafelski

TAFELSKI, Elizabeth J. Age 93 of Elmira, NY. She was born October 18, 1919 in Windber, PA, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Cselle) Vargo and passed away Friday, August 30, 2013 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center. She was predeceased by her husbands Hamilton H. Hollenbeck in 1950 and John Tafelski in 1960; son Franklin C. Hollenbeck in 1981; daughter Loretta M. Kent on August 20, 2011; grandson Robert A. Smith in 2012; infant grandson Franklin Hollenbeck and great grandson Dante Charles Masprosimone in 2007. She is survived by her children Betty J. Kerrick of Elmira heights and Hamilton H. (Joanne Miller) Hollenbeck of Elmira; grandchildren Steven Hollenbeck, Mark (Trish) Hollenbeck, Donna (John) Bacon, Allen (Kristian) Smith, David W. Smith and Linda (Vinny) Masprosimone; 16 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her family always came first. She will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Tuesday, September 3rd from 4 to 7 pm. Her funeral service will be held there on Wednesday, September 4th at 10 am. Deacon George Welch will officiate. Committal prayers and interment will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
