Obituary of Helen Northrop-Bruce

Helen Louise Northrop Bruce passed away quietly, Thursday, March 24, 2022. She was 93 years of age. Her late husband Robert Bruce of 24 years pre deceased her in 2018. Her former husband, Paul Northrop pre deceased her in 1987. Helen is survived by her three children Suzane, Cindy, and Sherry, and their spouses Aileen and Terry. Helen had a loving relationship with her grandson Aaron Josiah, who pre deceased her in 2004. Helen was born in Beaver Dams, but lived most of her life in Elmira Heights. Helen dedicated many years to the Auxillary of the Captain Clarence Oliver Post 154, in Elmira Heights. In those years Helen was elected President to the Auxiliary ten times, working numerous dinners and many special events. Helen loved playing bingo and watching the New York Yankees. Her favorite player was Derek Jeter. A gathering of friends and family will be held at the Horseheads Moose Club on Saturday, April 30 at 2-4 pm. For any questions please call 607-734-9557.
