Obituary of Linda L. Probst

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Linda (Lusk) Doane Probst of Elmira, New York, who passed away on January 21, 2022 at the age of 68. Linda was the daughter of Robert and Anna Lusk of Thompson, PA with sister Alice Ann Lusk Wheeler and brother Chanley Lusk. She previously resided at the Flannery Towers in Elmira, since June 2019 at the Corning Center for Rehabilitation. Linda was predeceased by her parents, sister, brother and ex-husband. She is survived by her children: sons, Lee Doane of New York and residents of Arizona: Jeremy Probst, daughter Charity Probst Aherns and grandchildren, Steven, Zakery and Matthew Rourick, Michaela Aherns, Zoie and Tabitha Rourick plus a great grandchild expected soon. Linda at one time was employed at Desert Haven (rest home) in Phoenix, AZ and more recently as an office manager at a local business. She was a member of the former Central Christian Church in Elmira. The family wishes to express their thanks to the staff at the Corning Center for Rehabilitation for their kind extended care, the Corning Hospital ICU staff, her longtime caregiver Gary Bennet and friends who have supported her: Grace Watts, Vickey LaRue, Stephanie Maslin, Marie (her roommate) and Skip Mills and his family.
