Obituary of Arlene Parker

PARKER, Arlene Age 83 of Elmira, NY. She was born June 25, 1938 in Elmira, daughter of the late Ralph and Lenora (Allen) Parker and passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Chemung County Nursing Facility. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her uncles Edward & Henry Parker, Robert & Harles Allen; aunt Marie Allen; grandmother "Big Ma" Ella Mae Allen. She is survived by her son Ralph Parker; granddaughter Santana Parker; cousins Ayanna Huey, Robin Allen-Turner and Laura Allen-Pannell. Ms. Parker was a longtime member of Monumental Baptist where she sang in the choir. She worked for NYSEG for 19 years and the Elmira City School District for 12 years. She is remembered by her fire personality and making everyone laugh she came across. She loved to sing and spend time with her grandchildren. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.
