Obituary of Lorraine T. Broock

BROOCK, Lorraine T. Age 81 of Elmira, NY. She was born February 27, 1932 in Elmira, daughter of the late John and Angeline (Colozzi) Sardo and passed away Saturday, July 20, 2013 at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was predeceased by her brothers Ernest, Richard and John; sisters Anne and Theresa. She is survived by her husband Howard; children and their spouses Teddi and Michael Drake of Pine City, Robert and Anne Vanderpoel of Horseheads; brother and sister-in-law Robert and Marylou Sardo of Horseheads; 6 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews. Lorraine was a member of Soroptomist International; was a wedding coordinator; member and president of "The Diet Club". During her stay at the Chemung County Nursing Facility, she spent her free time doing artwork. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Monday, July 22nd from 6 to 8 pm. Her funeral and committal services will follow at 8 pm. Interment will take place in Woodlawn Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
