Obituary of Lucy E. Dexter

DEXTER, Lucy E. Age 72 of Pine City, NY. She was born November 15, 1940 in Sunderlinville, PA, daughter of the late Hugh and Doris (Rice) Case and passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at the Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her infant son Fred Allen Dexter in 1968 and sister Lois Finnerty. Lucy is survived by her husband of 52 years, Allen E. Dexter; children and their spouses Shawn L. and Todd May of Breesport, Amy L. Dexter of Horseheads, Jessica L. and John Talalai of Camp Hill, PA, Harry A. and Jessica Dexter of Elmira Heights; grandchildren Kelsey, Kyle and Connor May, Branden Dexter, Kaylee Talalai and Kyan Dexter; sister Shirley Case of Galeton, PA. Lucy enjoyed the outdoors, especially birds, flowers and butterflies. Her hobbies were knitting, crocheting, sewing and reading. She attended the Christian Life Baptist Church. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Saturday, July 20th from 1 to 4 pm. Her funeral and committal services will follow at 4 pm. Rev. John Armstrong will officiate. Interment will be in Champlin Cemetery, Westfield, PA on Monday, July 22nd at 11 am.
