Obituary of Robert L. Walborn, Sr.

WALBORN, Robert L. Sr. Age 76 of Elmira, NY. He was born December 25, 1944 in Canton, PA, son of the late Donald, Sr. and Amber (Stromovich) Walborn and passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 at home, surrounded by his loving family. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Donald, Jr., Eugene and Jerry; sister Marion Edkins; brothers-in-law Ike Edkins, George Dudgeon, Stanley Spencer, Michael Klein and Robert Sparling. Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bonnie; sons Robert, Jr. (Amy), Wayne (Jill), Jeffrey (Tiffany) and Adam (Danielle), brothers Douglas and Roger; sisters , Ramona Dudgeon, Dian Spencer, Bonnie (Charles) Stevens and Carlitta; brother-in-law Henry Klein; sisters-in-law Michelle (Mark) Mott and Starla (Robert) Sparling, Katie Kenlon, Jeanie Walborn and Sylvia Walborn ; grandchildren Tara, Cameron, Sheldon, Jeffrey, Jr., Terrance, Jeremiah, Zack, Sarah, Emily, Adyson and Logan; great grandchildren Miley, Chloe, Adian, Sophie, Halana, Juliana, Kato, Laikynn, Amiyahmae, Blake, Abigail and Collyn. Robert was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was employed with American LaFrance and retired from Thomas & Betts. He loved bowling, horseshoes, camping, bingo, casinos and mostly, being with family and friends. A special thank you to his sons and nephew David Edkin for all their help! Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Saturday, May 15th from 1 to 3 pm. His memorial service will follow at 3 pm. Rev. Alex Ruffer will officiate.
