Obituary of Michael J. Burchard

BURCHARD, Michael J. Age 17 of Elmira, NY. He was born April 4, 2003 in Elmira, the son of Douglas and Donna Burchard, Christina Mathews and passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, February 11, 2021. He is survived by his parents, Doug & Donna and Christina Mathews; uncle Rich Mathews (Jenn); aunt Cory Mathews (James); cousins Ryan, Kayla and Aria as well as many extended family members and friends. Michael attended Elmira High School and is a Class of 2021 graduate. He was an amazing person, always willing to help anyone in anyway he could. Michael had big plans and dreams of seeing the world and studying environmental science. The world will forever miss his infectious smile. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Wednesday, February 17th from 2 to 4 pm. His funeral service will be held privately. He will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Cemetery.
