Obituary of Judith M. Curren

CURREN, Judith M. Age 79 of Whiteville, NC, formerly of Elmira, NY. She was born February 24, 1941 in Elmira, the only child of Norman E. and Helene (Bundy) Snyder and passed away Thursday, January 21, 2021. She is survived by her children Karen Assumpcao of Whiteville, NC, Ronald Curren of Elmira and JoAnna Greene of Elmira; grandchildren Diedre Assumpcao, Justin Evans-Curren, Kayla Curren, Adrianna Stevens, Ryan D. Cicci, Jerrad M. Cicci and Sean Greene along with 14 great grandchildren. Judith retired from the Elmira Correctional Facility. She enjoyed crocheting and entered her afghans in the Chemung County Fair. After she retired, she worked in home health care. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Friday, January 29th from 11 am to 1 pm. Her funeral service will be held privately. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. COVID-19 protocols will be strictly enforced.
