Obituary of Alex Casil
CASIL, Alex
Age 89, formerly of Pine Valley, NY. He was born February 8, 1931 in Elmira, son of the late Paul and Pauline (Ryndziniak) Casil and passed away Monday, December 14, 2020 at Elcor Nursing and Rehabilitation afer an extended illness. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters Kay Bowers and Mary A. Comfort; brothers Sam and John Casil; sister-in-law and dear friend Virginia Casil. Alex is survived by his sister-in-law Harriet Casil along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Alex retired from Fairway Spring and worked for many years with his brother-in-law Stanley Comfort at Stan's Body Shop in Horseheads. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a member of the American Legion Post 154 Elmira Heights and the Moose Club. Private services will be held at the convenience of his family with interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may remember Alex through donations to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 8th Ave., 7th Fl, New York, NY 10001.
