Obituary of Scott O'Dell

Scott W. O'Dell Age 45 of Horseheads, NY. He was born June 22, 1975 in Elmira, the son of Robert and Viola (Halpin) O'Dell and passed away Tuesday, July 14, 202.0 unexpectedly at home. He was predeceased by his father Robert O'Dell and brothers Mark O'Dell and Bobby Bakken. Scott is survived by his daughters Andrea (Ryan Straub)Thurston and Alexis (Robert) Williams of Elmira; mother Viola O'Dell of Elmira; sister Belinda (JJ Augustine) O'Dell; brother David O'Dell; nieces & nephews, including Barbara Jo Fairbanks, Marlana (Gerald) Molina, Kristina (Bill Russell) Patelunas; Marquis O'Dell; his stepfather Dale Kaminski and his 3 granddaughters. Scott loved music, camping, animals and mostly his family and friends. He was an avid Cowboys and Yankees fan. He was dearly loved and will be sadly missed. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Monday, July 20th from 2 to 3 pm. His funeral and committal service will be held at the convenience of the family. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we will limit the amount of guests in the building at one time. Masks and social distancing are required. We ask that guests pay their respects in a timely manner so that others have the same opportunity.
