Obituary of Nellie T. Paluskiewicz
PALUSKIEWICZ, Nellie T. “Non”, “Nana”
age 98 of Elmira Heights, NY. She was born February 1, 1920 in Elmira Heights, daughter of the late Stanley and Pauline (Winiecki) Paluskiewicz and passed away Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at Elcor Nursing & Rehabilitation Services. She is survived by her loving nieces, nephews Karen (Frank) Kniffin, Theresa Serdinow, David (Anne) Paluskiewicz and Stanley Kohan; great nephews Francis Kniffin, Jr and Christopher Paluskiewicz; great niece Sarah Paluskiewicz. Nellie was a communicant of St. Charles Borromeo Church and Christ the Redeemer Parish where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She retired from A&P after 26 years of service. She also worked as an election inspector, volunteered for Meals on Wheels of Chemung County and the Red Cross. Nellie loved to knit and crochet. There will be no prior calling hours. Prayers will be offered at Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Wednesday, February 21st at 10:15 am, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Charles Borromeo Church. Rev. Richard Farrell, Celebrant. Committal prayers and interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul’s Cemetery.
