Obituary of Henry L. Sherwood

SHERWOOD, Henry L. Age 88 of Towson, MD, formerly of Horseheads, NY, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016. Henry is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jacqueline (Switzer) Sherwood; children Robert Henry Sherwood of Oswego, NY and Susan (William) Walters of Cockeysville, MD; grandchildren Gina, Gregory and Douglas Sherwood, Kathleen and Matthew Walters along with several nieces and nephews. Mr. Sherwood retired as president of Elmira Heights Drug with over 40 years as a pharmacist. He was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira on Saturday, April 2nd from 1 to 2 pm. His funeral and committal services will follow at 2 pm. Interment will take place in Maple Grove Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
