Obituary of Rosemarie Taylor

TAYLOR, Rosemarie Age 64 of Elmira, NY. She was born December 8, 1951 in Elmira, NY, daughter of the late Richard R. and Agnes E. (Golden) Taylor and passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016 at home. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister and brother in law, Barbara A. and Thomas F. Rice. Rosemarie is survived by her brother; Richard A. (Elizabeth) Taylor of FL, sisters; Mary Margaret (Joseph F.) Murphy and Susan (Robert Z.) Chorney, both of Elmira, NY along with her nieces and nephews; Karen Conklin, Linda Gaulin, Mary Kay Bower, Elizabeth LaScala, Lori Keough, Richard Rice, Anthony Murphy, Katherine Sinnott, R. Chad Chorney, Thomas Rice, Joseph E. Murphy, Andrew Rice, Ryan Rice, Nicole Chorney and Sarah Chorney; many great nieces and nephews; many cousins; very special friends; Delia Waltimire, Carol Madigan, Marie Freeman and Sylvia Mason and many other friends. A graduate of Notre Dame High School, she was employed by Iszard's and the Elmira Psychiatric Center and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church. She was a dearly loved sister, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend who will be greatly missed by all. A true animal lover, she will also be missed by her feline companion, Oreo. Family and friends are invited to visit Walter J. Kent Funeral Home, 858 Lake St. at Washington Ave., Elmira, on Thursday, January 7th from 6 to 8 pm. Prayers will be offered there on Friday, January 8th at 10:30 am, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am in St. Mary's Church. Rev. Edward Golden, her cousin, as Celebrant. Committal and interment will follow in St. Peter & Paul's Cemetery. Those wishing may remember Rosemarie with flowers, Masses or charitable contributions of your choice.
